Pooh Bear who lives in Aabenraa, Denmark flew to New York City in June 2001.
Here, the houses are a lot higher than the trees in the Hundred-Acre-Wood. And it is a
lot noisier here: cars hoot, sirens howl, motors of air conditions hum.

In 53rd Street it is not that bad, even trees grow here and colourful flags flatter
in front of two buildings. On one side it is famous MoMA, Museum of Modern Art, which
catches the attention of many tourists who pay a visit to its exhibitions.
Pooh Bear enters the building on the opposite side of the street. The flags read
"Donnell Library", i.e. it is a branch of the New Public Library.

Pooh Bear takes the lift to the 2nd floor. In the Central Children’s Room he wants to
visit the original Pooh, Winnie-the-Pooh. This famous old bear sits together with Tigger,
Kanga, Eeyore and Piglet in a huge glass case. Four books, early editions of the poems
and stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, the other animals and their former owner, Christopher
Robin, are also exhibited.
